Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of various properties, monthly reporting and financial performance of the property, and serve as a point of contact handling all the important details required to run a property. Assist in the planning and coordination of all phases of property and construction management. Develop strategies to handle unexpected issues and delays for each project and communicate updates to the Director. Initiate preventive maintenance programs and surveys for all properties owned and leased. Prepare cost estimates, budgets and work timetables. Collaborate with architects, engineers and other construction specialists. Select, schedule, and coordinate subcontractors’ activities. Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes and other regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management, architecture, engineering, business or related field with three to five years of practical property or construction experience. Internships and cooperative education programs may be counted towards the experience requirement. Must have demonstrated initiative, leadership, creativity and flexibility. Must be able to develop strong professional relationships with staff, vendors and contractors. Excellent communication and time management skills. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to respond to emergencies and ensure deadlines are met. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
