Department: Head Start & Children’s Services – Region 6 EPS
Provides leadership and expertise in regards to collaboration and coordination with institutions of higher education within the region that participate in Education and Provider Support (EPS) services. Responsible for identifying and coordinating outreach, advising and scholarship opportunities with institutions of higher education within Region 6 that participates in EPS services and are serving ECE Scholarship recipients. Build and maintain partnerships and collaborations with colleges, stakeholders, and other relevant local community organizations. Participate in the Self-Assessment, Community Assessment, and development of EPS Region 6 grant goals. Assist with the implementation and production of marketing materials to promote grant services. Responsible for effective documentation of scholarship partners, opportunities, and requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, and one to three years of experience in early childhood education or human services required. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Applications. Ability to attend relevant trainings, seminars, and workshops. Bilingual skills and writing proficiency in Spanish/English. Possess a car and be able to travel to all communities within Region 6, as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license, and the ability and willingness to travel on a regular basis. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
