Ensure that all students are maintaining strong and consistent attendance and punctuality in order to achieve positive academic outcomes. Develop and manage all aspects of the attendance records processes and initiate communication with appropriate individuals surrounding student attendance and disciplinary actions. Collaborate with teachers, staff and clinicians to develop successful interventional plans for chronic truancy and create procedures that encourage superior student attendance. Track and evaluate all initiatives in relation to student attendance for effectiveness. Greet and check-in all students daily, ensuring an accurate account of student presence. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field with one to three years experience working with urban youth required. Master’s degree preferred. Information Management Systems experience required. Possess a willingness and interest in working with a diverse population, including visiting homes and working with student’s families. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Must have an unwavering belief in urban youth and their potential. Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals and groups of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
